The Thunder Bay North Stars suffered their first loss in five games last night, but they still managed to get one point, losing 3-2 in a shootout to the Fort Frances Lakers. The Lakers hold a two point lead over the North Stars atop the SIJHL standings. Matthias Gardiman had both goals for the North Stars, who have one more road game before playing their home opener Tuesday, October 15th, against Dryden at the Fort William Gardens.

North Stars Fall In Fort Frances
